For Delegates Attending bemix Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training: Tier 2

Introduction

This Code of Conduct sets the standards for behaviour expected from delegates attending the named training sessions. All delegates are required to adhere to these guidelines to foster a respectful, professional, and effective learning environment. By attending the training, you agree to comply with this Code of Conduct.

This Code of Conduct is applicable to Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training Tier 1 and 2 sessions and sets out in part the terms and conditions of attending the training course.

 

Professional Behaviour

  • Respect for Others: Treat all fellow delegates, trainers, and staff with respect, kindness, and courtesy. Discrimination, harassment, or any form of inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
  • Punctuality: Arrive on time for all sessions. If for any reason you are unable to attend a session or will be late, notify the organiser or trainer in advance.
  • Active Participation: Engage fully in all training activities and discussions. Contribute constructively and listen to others with an open mind.

 

Integrity and Honesty

  • Honesty in Communication: Be honest in your communication with trainers and fellow delegates. If you are experiencing challenges or have concerns, raise them in a constructive manner.
  • Confidentiality: Respect the confidentiality of personal information shared during the training. Do not share or disclose any content from the training unless given explicit consent.
  • No Plagiarism: If participating in exercises that require written work or contributions, ensure your work is your own. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.

 

Health and Safety

  • Adherence to Safety Guidelines: Follow all health and safety guidelines provided by the training venue. Familiarise yourself with emergency procedures, including fire exits and first aid locations.
  • Well-being: Take personal responsibility for your well-being during the training. This includes being mindful of physical and mental health. If you require assistance or have health-related concerns, inform the organisers.

 

Respect for Property

  • Use of Training Materials: Respect all training materials provided, including physical resources, digital content, and venue property. Any loss or damage to these materials may be subject to charges.
  • Venue Etiquette: Respect the training venue’s facilities. Clean up after yourself in communal spaces, and maintain an orderly and professional environment throughout your time there.

 

Ethical Use of Technology

  • Responsible Device Use: Use mobile phones, laptops, and other devices responsibly during training sessions. Keep phones on silent or vibrate mode unless you need to take a personal call.
  • Avoid Disruptive Behaviour: Refrain from using technology for purposes unrelated to the training, such as social media or entertainment, unless permitted by the trainer.

 

Anti-Harassment and Discrimination

  • Zero Tolerance for Harassment: The training environment should be free of harassment, bullying, or any form of discrimination based on race, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Inclusive Environment: Embrace diversity and encourage an inclusive atmosphere. Everyone should feel welcome, respected, and valued throughout the training.

 

Compliance with Laws and Regulations

  • Adherence to UK Law: All delegates must comply with UK laws, including those concerning behaviour, conduct, and alcohol consumption. Illegal activities are strictly prohibited and may result in expulsion from the training.

 

Feedback and Improvement

  • Constructive Feedback: At the end of the training, delegates are encouraged to provide constructive feedback. This feedback will be used to improve future training sessions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Be open to learning and evolving throughout the training. Constructive criticism and suggestions should be received positively, as they help in personal and professional growth.

 

Consequences of Misconduct

  • Violation of the Code: Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including removal from the training session without a refund.
  • Reporting Misconduct: If you witness or experience any misconduct, you are encouraged to report it to the training organisers promptly. All reports will be taken seriously and handled confidentially.

By registering and accepting the Terms and Conditions of this training, delegates acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by this Code of Conduct.
